Carlton Ware Yellow Water Lily 3 Lobed Tray

3 lobed tray in the yellow colourway with pink flowers which was introduced around 1937 but most of the pieces were made in 1939 onwards.  The range was very popular and continued for a number of years.  The number 1781 is impressed on the base.

It is in excellent condition, having no repairs, chips, cracks, but has very minor crazing which is typical for a piece of this age.  There is a very small stain to one of the lobes and a couple of pink paint marks left by the artist during production.  These very minor faults are very hard to see and do not detract from the beauty of this tray.
