Carlton Ware Green Poppy Teapot

A beautiful teapot by Carlton Ware in the Poppy pattern in the green colourway which was introduced in the late 1940's and continued into the early 1950's.  It has the number 2292 impressed on the base.

It is in excellent condition, having no repairs, chips or cracks, but has minor crazing which is typical of a piece of this age.  There are a few stains to the inside bottom of this teapot, but this in no way detracts from the beauty of the teapot and it looks stunning on display.
