Carlton Ware Green Water Lily Jug

Jug in the green colourway with yellow flowers which was introduced around 1937 but most of the pieces were made in 1939 onwards.  It has the number 1788/1 impressed on the base.  This is the largest of the three jugs made in this pattern.

It is in excellent condition, having no repairs, chips, cracks or stains, but has minor crazing which is typical of a piece of this age.

Dimensions - 13½ cms high, 19½ cms handle to spout (measurements are approximate)
