Carlton Ware Yellow Buttercup Chocolate Mug & Lid

Chocolate mug and lid in the yellow colourway which was first introduced in 1936 until the 1940's.  It has the number 1585 impressed on the base.

It is in excellent condition, having no repairs, chips or stains, but has fine all over crazing which is typical of a piece of this age.  Unfortunately there is a 1 cm hairline crack on the edge of the lid, which is very hard to see and does not detract from this item in any way.

Dimensions - mug - 10¼ cms high, 8¼ cms rim dia. - lid - 9½ cms dia. (measurements are approximate)
