A beautiful vintage large jug by Carlton Ware in the Apple Blossom pattern in the green colourway which was first introduced in 1937. It has the number 1686/1½ impressed on the base. This is the largest of the two jugs made in this pattern. It is in excellent condition having no repairs, chips, cracks or stains. It has minor crazing which is typical for pieces of this age. The colours are bright and vivid and this jug displays brilliantly. Dimensions - 18 cms handle to spout, 13 cms wide, 11½ cms high (measurements are approximate) |
