A beautiful rare vintage teapot (in the Queen Anne shape) by Shelley in the Violets pattern (12120) which was entered into the pattern book during or after 1933. The backstamp on this particular piece was used between 1925 and 1940. This is the largest of the two sized teapots made by Shelley in the Queen Anne shape. It is in excellent condition, having no repairs, chips, cracks or stains, and has no crazing which is unusual for a piece of this age. It rings like a bell in the typical Shelley fashion confirming that there are no imperfections. The blue trim is in excellent condition. The colours are bright and vivid and this teapot displays brilliantly. Dimensions - 12 cms high, 13 cms wide, 25 cms handle to spout (measurements are approximate) |
