H & K Tunstall Autumn Plate

A beautiful vintage hand-painted plate by H & K Tunstall (Hollinshead & Kirkham) in the Autumn pattern.  This pattern is one of the "Delicious Dozen" patterns made, which was once known as the "poor man's Moorcroft".  The backstamp on this particular piece was used between 1932 and 1942.

It is in excellent condition, having no repairs, chips, cracks or stains.  It has no crazing, which is unusual for pieces of this age.  The only point to mention is a small glaze pop on the side of the plate, which would have been done at the time of manufacture.  I do not believe that this is a chip.  The colours are bright and clear and this jug displays brilliantly.  (Please excuse the white marks - these are only light reflections)
