Carlton Ware Green Foxglove Ewer

A beautiful large ewer by Carlton Ware in the very popular Foxglove pattern in the green colourway which was first introduced in the early 1940's.  It carries the standard backstamp used by Carlton Ware during that period.  It also has the impressed number 1882 on the base.

It is in excellent condition, having no repairs, chips, cracks.  I does have crazing which is typical for a piece of this age.  The only point to mention is slight staining in the very interior of the ewer, but this is very hard to see and impossible to photograph.  The colours are bright and vivid (much more than the photographs depict) and this ewer displays brilliantly.
