Carlton Ware Green Foxglove Gravy Boat & Underplate

A beautiful gravy boat and underplate by Carlton Ware in the Foxglove pattern in the green colourway which was first introduced in the early 1940's.  It has the number 1897 impressed on the base.

They are in excellent condition, having no repairs, chips, cracks or stains, but have minor crazing which is typical for pieces of this age.  The colours are bright and vivid and this set displays brilliantly.

Dimensions - gravy boat - 5½ cms high, 11 cms handle to spout - underplate - 11½ cms dia. (measurements are approximate)
