Beswick Budgerigar (1217B - Facing Right)

A beautiful vintage Budgerigar facing right (with no flowers on the base) by Beswick.  It is model number 1217B and is finished in a high gloss glaze.  It was designed by Arthur Gredington and was produced between 1967 and 1970.  Beswick birds are becoming very collectable.

This Budgerigar is in excellent condition, having no chips, cracks, repairs or restorations.  I cannot see any crazing with the naked eye.  It bears the imprint "Beswick - England", "Budgie" and it's model number (1217), together with the black circular Beswick backstamp.  The colours are bright and vivid and this Budgerigar displays brilliantly.
