Beswick Budgerigar (1216B - Facing Left)

A beautiful vintage Budgerigar facing left (with no flowers on the base) by Beswick.  It is model number 1216B and is finished in a high gloss glaze.  It was designed by Arthur Gredington and was produced between 1967 and 1975.  Beswick birds are becoming very collectable.

This Budgerigar is in excellent condition, having no chips, cracks, repairs or restorations.  It has a very small amount of crazing to the underside of the base only.  It bears the imprint "Beswick - England", "Budgie" and it's model number (1216), together with the black Beswick Crest backstamp.  The colours are bright and vivid and this Budgerigar displays brilliantly.
