H & K Tunstall Iris Jug (Small)

A beautiful vintage hand-painted small jug by H & K Tunstall (Hollinshead & Kirkham) in the Iris pattern.  This pattern is one of the "Delicious Dozen" patterns made, which was once known as the "poor man's Moorcroft".  The backstamp on this particular piece was used between 1932 and 1942.  It has been signed by R Grocott.

It is in excellent condition, having no repairs, chips, cracks or stains.  It does have minor crazing, which is usual for pieces of this age.  The colours are bright and clear and this jug displays brilliantly.  (Please excuse the white marks - these are only light reflections)

Dimensions - 8 cms high, 10 cms handle to spout, 8 cms wide (measurements are approximate)
