Crown Devon Oriental Tree & Butterflies Lustre Basket

A beautiful basket by Crown Devon in the Oriental Tree & Butterflies pattern (number 5006) which was first introduced in 1950.  The backstamp on this particular piece was used between 1930 and 1965.

It is in excellent condition, having no repairs, chips, cracks or stains, and has no crazing which is unusual for a piece of this age.  The gold trim is in excellent condition.  The lustre finish is in excellent condition and shows very little signs of wear.  This basket displays exceptionally well.  The colours are more vibrant than would seem in the photos, but lustre is extremely hard to photograph.
