Carlton Ware Yellow Water Lily Covered Cheesekeep

Covered cheesekeep in the yellow colourway with pink flowers which was introduced around 1937 but most of the pieces were made in 1939 onwards.  The range was very popular and continued for a number of years.  The number 1820 is impressed on the base.

It is in excellent condition, having no repairs, chips, or cracks, but has fine all over crazing which is typical for a piece of this age.  There are minor stains to the underside rim of the lid of the cheesekeep, which cannot be seen when the lid is on the underplate.

Dimensions - 21 cms long, 15½ cms wide, 9½ cms high (measurements are approximate)
