Carlton Ware Green Water Lily Plate

Plate dish in the green colourway with yellow flowers which was introduced around 1937 but most of the pieces were made in 1939 onwards.  The range was very popular and continued for a number of years.  The number 1783 is impressed on the base.

It is in excellent condition, having no repairs, chips, cracks or stains, but has fine all over crazing which is typical of a piece of this age.  There is a small paint mark on the front of the plate that was done during manufacture.
