Carlton Ware Peach Rock Garden Gravy Boat & Underplate

A beautiful gravy boat and underplate by Carlton Ware in the Rock Garden pattern (also known as Garden Wall) in the peach colourway which was introduced in 1934/35.  It has the under-glaze backstamp that was used by Carlton Ware before they introduced their "Registered Australian Design" which was introduced in 1935.  It has the numbers 1287 impressed on the base.

It is in excellent condition, having no repairs, chips, cracks or stains, and has no crazing, which is unusual for a piece of this age.  This set displays exceptionally well.

Dimensions - gravy boat - 5½ cms high, 13½ cms handle to spout - underplate - 13 cms long, 9 cms wide (measurements are approximate)
