Carlton Ware Green Poppy Teapot

Teapot by Carlton Ware in the Poppy pattern in the green colourway which was introduced in the late 1940's and continued into the early 1950's.  It has the number 2292 impressed on the base.

It is in good condition, having no repairs, cracks or stains, but has very minor crazing which is typical of a piece of this age.  Unfortunately it has three very small chips to the end of the spout, but this in no way detracts from the beauty of the teapot and it looks stunning on display.
