Carlton Ware Yellow Buttercup Jug (Large)

Jug in the yellow colourway which was first introduced in 1936 until the 1940's.  It has the number 1524 impressed on the base.  There were two sizes of jugs made in this pattern (not to be confused with the creamer which is smaller) and this is the largest of the jugs.

It is in excellent condition, having no repairs, chips, cracks or stains, and has no crazing which is unusual for a piece of this age. 

Dimensions - 11 cms high, 17 cms handle to spout (measurements are approximate)
