Carlton Ware Green Apple Blossom Jug (Double Handled 1700/3)

A beautiful rare vintage double handled jug by Carlton Ware in the Apple Blossom pattern in the green colourway which was first introduced in 1937.  It has the number 1700/3 impressed on the base.  This is the smallest of the three sizes of double handled jug made in this pattern.  In these larger, more unusual pieces, the green colourway is much harder to find than the yellow colourway.

It is in excellent condition, having no repairs, chips, cracks or stains, and has very little crazing which is unusual for a piece of this age.  This jug is in pristine condition, the colours are bright and vivid and displays brilliantly.  You would be hard pushed to find another in such perfect condition.
