Beswick Shelldrake (994 - Rising)

A beautiful vintage Shelldrake (rising - beak closed) by Beswick.  It is model number 994 and is finished in a gloss glaze.  It was designed by Arthur Gredington and was produced between 1943 and 1965.

This Shelldrake is in excellent condition, having no chips, cracks, repairs or restorations.  It does have minor crazing, which is usual for pieces of this age.  It bears the imprint "Beswick - England" and it's model number (994).  The colours are bright and vivid and this Shelldrake displays brilliantly and is in fantastic condition.

Dimensions - 15½ cms high, 20 cms wing span, 20 cms beak to tail (measurements are approximate)
