A beautiful vintage Mallard Duck - Squatting (817/2) by Beswick, which was produced between 1940 and 1969. It was designed by Mr Watkin and produced from 1940 until 1970. It carries the "Beswick - Made In England" impression on the base together with the impressed number 817/2. It is in excellent condition, having no repairs, chips or cracks. It does have crazing, particularly to the base, which is usual for pieces of this age. The colours are bright and vivid and this Squatting Mallard Duck looks brilliant displayed. Dimensions - 18 cms high, 23 cms beak to tail, 9 cms wide. The base measures 12 cms x 12cms (measurements are approximate)
